Back To Your True Nature
Most people come to me with specific issues they want fixed.
The biggest problems come first: A chronic pain that won’t budge. Itchy skin that keeps flaring up. Persistent gut issues. Anxiety that’s ruling their lives.
These first issues tend to respond quickly and powerfully to treatment and, in most cases, you’ll start to feel better quickly. That’s what good medicine does when it’s applied with precision.
Once we begin talking, we usually realise there are a handful of other issues that bother them too, but that they never realised were related.
And then something interesting happens…
The Body Takes Charge
Once your body experiences that kind of deep, thorough healing — the kind that actually resolves an issue rather than silencing it — it starts to crave more.
So the body begins to bring forward other issues for you to heal, one by one. Things that were lurking in the background are brought up to the surface.
An old ache reappears. A rash you’ve had before rears its head. A familiar emotion you haven’t acknowledged in years comes back louder than ever. Or entirely new symptoms that seem completely unrelated to why you first came to see me.
Your old reliable remedies – steroid creams, Panadol, ignoring it – won’t help anymore because the body has decided it wants to heal, not press the mute button. It won’t settle for less than it deserves.
This isn’t a setback. This is your body being extraordinarily clever.

The Unlayering Process
Over the course of our lives, our bodies accumulate layers. Every injury, every long stretch of stress, every bit of grief that got pushed down so life could keep moving… The body absorbs it all. It adapts. It compensates. It finds a way to carry the load so you can keep functioning.
This is survival and it’s essential.
But survival and optimal health are two different things. When an issue never gets the chance to truly heal, it doesn’t disappear – it gets stored. Held in tissue, in posture, in the nervous system, in the body’s chemistry. Waiting.
The goal of my treatment is always to get to the root, never to suppress or “manage” your symptoms. I want to find out what the body is actually asking for and create the conditions for it to heal, once and for all.
That’s what “unlayering” is. Layer by layer, in the order your body chooses, we work through everything that it’s been holding onto. Each session, your body tells us its current priority. We listen, we treat, it heals, then it brings forward the next one.
The Medicine Behind It
This approach isn’t unique to me, it’s woven into the foundations of the medicines I practise.
In Classical Homeopathy, the principle of “cure from above downward, from the inside out, and in reverse order of appearance” has been recognised for more than two hundred years. Symptoms resolve in the reverse order they arrived — the most recent first, the oldest last. In homeopathy, this is a process of releasing old adaptive patterns that were used during times of stress and illness.
In Bowen Therapy, we work with the body’s own reset mechanisms, giving it the space and the “signals” it needs to reorganise itself. We don’t force anything. We create the conditions for the body to do what it already knows how to do, resetting the nervous system and releasing anything stored in the organs, muscles, tendons and fascia.
Contact Care is built upon the idea that any blunt force trauma — a fall, a collision, an old injury — can become stored in the body, creating unnecessary pressure, aches and pains. Over time this leads to overcompensation in areas beyond the original injury. By releasing this weight, we can develop a newfound sense of ease and agility in our movements.
Naturopathic Counselling reveals how our emotions match up with our physical symptoms. Intense emotions don’t just live in the mind: Grief sits heavy in the chest, anxiety is knots and acid in the stomach, anger blurs our vision and the way forward. Unresolved emotions can become “hard-wired” in our bodies, keeping us hyper-alert to things that have harmed us in the past, but that are no longer relevant. So we learn to release old coping mechanisms, which simultaneously frees our bodies of pain, tension and shut down.
Together, these medicines point to the same idea: Every symptom is a signal. If we listen carefully – instead of silencing them – the body is pointing us in the direction it wants to go.

The Body Makes No Mistakes
This process of healing through multiple old layers can sometimes be intense, and even a little frustrating. You might catch yourself thinking “can’t I just catch a break?”
But it’s important to remember that your body is in control. It makes no mistakes.
And we have the power to create the deepest healing imaginable, if you just stick with it. Be patient with the major shifts that are happening inside. Trust your body, trust yourself. And trust me – you aren’t meant to heal alone.
Along the way, you’ll also learn to listen to your body more closely and interpret its signals. You’ll be able to tell the difference between a symptom that needs urgent attention and one that is part of a healing wave. This creates sustainable, long-lasting health.
Leaving nothing lurking. Nothing suppressed. Nothing held for later.
Just you, in your truest, most authentic expression of health.
That’s what we’re working toward and your body already knows the way.
