What is machine-free tattooing?
Hand-poke tattooing creates much less physical trauma to the skin, meaning fast and easy healing and tattoos that hold beautifully over time. This is because each dot is placed carefully by hand—the skin receiving only the necessary number of penetrations. On top of that, without the vibration of a tattoo machine rupturing the cells holding the ink, the tattoo won’t spread as much over time.
Many say this hand-poke tattooing process is mostly painless and relaxing (many people even end up falling in asleep mid-session!). However, all tattooing is an intense experience, and deserves respect and preparation.
